Prospector Catalog Has a New Look

Prospector--the unified catalog of 23 libraries that gives you fast access to almost 20 million books, videos, CDs and more--has redesigned the look of their website. Prospector still functions in the same way; find an item you want, click "request" and provide the TIGER number from your CC Gold Card. The book or other item will be delivered to the circulation desk at Tutt Library, and we will send you an email to let you know it's here. It's easy and fast.

Chronicle of Higher Education Now Online at CC

The Tutt Library now has an online subscription to the Chronicle of Higher Education that does not require a password for access. You can browse back issues back to 1995, or search all the way back to 1989, all free of charge.

The Chronicle tells us that they deliver 32 print subscriptions to Colorado College offices and faculty. If one of those subscriptions is yours, you might want to look very closely at this institution-wide online access to see if you still need that paper copy each week.

Library Tours & Treats for New Students and Parents, Mon. 8/29

The Tutt Library welcomes CC's new students and their parents with "Tours and Treats" on Monday, August 29. Come to the library any time between 8:30am and 10:30am or between 2:00pm and 4:00pm for a library tour and coffee, juice, and treats on the front porch. You will meet the friendly library staff, find all the great places in Tutt Library to study, learn about our collections and services, and see what student employment opportunities are available.

RefWorks Write-N-Cite for the Macintosh

Now Macintosh users can use Write-N-Cite for RefWorks. Write-N-Cite is a small "helper" application that RefWorks users can install to make it even easier to drop citations into a Word document.

Just go to the Write-N-Cite page to download (or while logged in to your RefWorks account, click on "Tools" then "Write-N-Cite").

Sorry WordPerfect users; RefWorks has no plans to bring out Write-N-Cite for that word processor.
