Lunch and Learn, Th. 3/ 2: ONLINE MAPS

Love maps? Join us Thursday, March 2, at noon in the Tutt Library TLC1 classroom to learn about some of the many online maps available on the Web.

We'll explore the wonders of Google Earth and Globalis, and also look at availability of local Colorado Springs maps, including interactive orthophotographic maps, crime maps, trails maps, and more.

This exploration will be presented by Wei-Hsin Fu (GIS Technical Director) and Lisa Lister (Reference Librarian). RSVP to Glenna Harrison (gharrison@coloradocollege.edu or 6670) to reserve a space and lunch.

Join us Tuesday, February 23 at noon in the Tutt Library TLC2 classroom for an introduction to Special Collections.

Find out what's at Tutt Library and nowhere, or almost nowhere, else: manuscript materials, rare and valuable books, clay tablets from 2000 B.C,. and more. Join Special Collections Curator and College Archivist Jessy Randall for lunch and an exploration of the fascinating and surprising resources of these collections. The new issue of the Tutt Library Chronicle is now available in print at the library and online as a PDF document.

Darwin Day display on Tutt second floor

In honor of Darwin Day (Feb. 12), Tutt Library's Natural Science Liaison Librarian, Rebecca Harner, has assembled a n exhibit of books by and about Darwin, along with information about his life.
