Research Emergency Room - Open Today - 4-5

The Research Emergency Room (otherwise known as TLC1 in Tutt Basement South) will be open for drop-in business Tuesday from 4-5. Do you need help with a paper or project? Staff from the Reference Desk, CAT lab and the Writing Center will be available in one convenient place. Help with library resources, interlibrary loan, RefWorks, Word, PowerPoint, scanning, paper organization, and more.

We will be scattered around the room waiting to triage your problem and render aid. If we can't help we will try to find someone who can.

Need Fun Reading for Spring Break?

Come check out the Current Books Section at Tutt Library. It's right next to the Circulation Desk on the first floor. We have lots of bestsellers, mysteries, science fiction, thrillers, non-fiction, and other entertaining reading to amuse yourself with during the break.

Tony Moffeit Perfomance Feb. 24

This Saturday, February 24, Pueblo poet Tony Moffeit will be performing poety, music, and blues with guitarist Rick Terlep. Moffeit is director of the Pueblo Poetry Project in Pueblo, Colorado. He was the recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts creative writing fellowship in 1992. Also, in 1992, he was the recipient of a CoVisions grant from the Colorado Council on the Arts to give a performance program called "Poetry, Culture, and the Individual." In 1986, he was the recipient of the Jack Kerouac Award for his volume of poetry, Pueblo Blues, published by Cherry Valley Editions, Cherry Valley, New York. In 1997, he was the first place recipient of the Denver Press Club's first annual Thomas Hornsby Ferril Poetry Prize. Both a literary and performance artist, Moffeit performs his original poetry and blues songs regularly with guitarist Rick Terlep. Rick Terlep is a guitarist from Pueblo, Colorado, who has a blues band called Little Ricky and the Roosters.

Library Shenanigans

CC Curator of Special Collections Jessy Randall has compiled images, video, and sound files of streaking, singing, costumes for the Chas statue, Pac-Man and Star Wars re-enactments, and other funny (but harmless!) mischief people have gotten up to at Tutt Library and elsewhere.
