Tutt Library has a new mini-exhibition in the second floor atrium: Postcards from the summer of 1996.
During that summer, the artist Rosemary Bothwell (CC class of 1953) sent daily hand-illustrated postcards to her friend Richard Rutledge (CC class of 1951), who did not have long to live.
About ten years later, Bruce Kellner (CC class of 1955, a mutual friend of Bothwell and Rutledge), published several of these postcard illustrations in a limited edition chapbook, “The Writer in the Garden” (All Kinds Blintzes Press, 2006).
Now, for the first time, some of these exquisite postcards are on display. They show flowers, plants, birds, eggs (such as the one pictured here), and other things.
Great usefull article & share, thanks for informing us with this lovely post.
