As usual, Tutt Library will be closed over Winter Break (from Dec.24th-Jan.8th, inclusive - for exact hours, please consult our hours page). We will miss you all terribly. In the meantime, here is some important information about Prospector and Interlibrary Loan we thought you might need to know:
Prospector or Interlibrary Loan books that do not arrive before noon on Dec. 23rd cannot be picked up until the library reopens on January 9th, 2011.
PROSPECTOR BOOK REQUESTS:
The Prospector system for borrowing books will be turned off during Winter Break. Many academic libraries will also cease lending around this time. The last day to request Prospector items will be Friday, December 17, with no guarantee that items will arrive before closing at noon on December 23. Prospector requests will be possible again on Monday, January 10.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN BOOK REQUESTS:
Out-of-state books ordered through Interlibrary Loan, must be ordered no later than Monday, December 13, in order for them to have the best chance of arriving before Winter Break starts (and even this cannot be guaranteed). Requests submitted over Winter Break will not be ordered until Monday Jan.10, 2011.
ARTICLE REQUESTS:
Requests for articles will continue to be ordered by the Interlibrary Loan Dept. through the library’s last full day on Thursday, Dec.22. However, if your requested article does not arrive by closing on Dec. 23, it will not be available on your ILLiad account until Jan. 10.
Also, while we will do our best to get everything sorted out quickly on January 10th, there may be a backlog for a day or two. Thanks for your patience, and have a wonderful break!
