Welcome back! We hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Believe it or not, Winter Break is just around the corner, so we thought it wise to remind everyone that Tutt Library will be closed from Dec.21st-Jan.5th, inclusive (for exact hours, please consult our hours page). We will miss you all terribly. Also, here is some important information about Prospector and Interlibrary Loan we thought you might need to know:
Prospector or Interlibrary Loan books that do not arrive before noon on Dec. 20th cannot be picked up until the library reopens on January 6, 2012.
PROSPECTOR BOOK REQUESTS:
The Prospector system for borrowing books will be turned off during Winter Break. Many academic libraries will also cease lending around this time. The last day to request Prospector items will be Friday, December 14, with no guarantee that items will arrive before closing at noon on December 20. Prospector requests will be possible again on Monday, January 7, 2013.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN BOOK REQUESTS:
Out-of-state books ordered through Interlibrary Loan, must be ordered no later than Monday, December 10, in order for them to have the best chance of arriving before Winter Break starts (and even this cannot be guaranteed). Requests submitted over Winter Break will not be processed until Monday Jan. 7, 2013.
ARTICLE REQUESTS:
Requests for articles will continue to be ordered by the Interlibrary Loan Dept. through the library’s last full day on Wednesday, Dec. 19. However, if your requested article does not arrive by closing on Dec. 20, it will not be available on your ILLiad account until Jan. 7, 2013.
Also, while we will do our best to get everything sorted out quickly on January 7th, there may be a backlog for a day or two. Thanks in advance for your patience!
