Welcome back! As we inch ever closer to Winter Break, we thought it wise to remind everyone that Tutt Library will be closed from Dec. 19th - January 2nd, inclusive (for exact hours, please consult our hours page). We will miss you all terribly. Also, here is some important information about Prospector and Interlibrary Loan we thought you might need to know:
Prospector or Interlibrary Loan books that do not arrive before noon on Dec. 18th cannot be picked up until the library reopens on January 4, 2015. (We'll be open for a few hours on the 3rd, but won't have time to catch up on the huge numbers of incoming Prospectors before the 4th.)
PROSPECTOR BOOK REQUESTS:
The Prospector system for borrowing books has been turned off for Winter Break. Many academic libraries will also cease lending around this time. Prospector requests and pickups will be possible again on Monday, January 4, 2015.
INTERLIBRARY LOAN BOOK REQUESTS:
Out-of-state books ordered through Interlibrary Loan are unlikely to arrive before Winter Break at this time. Requests submitted over Winter Break will not be processed until Monday Jan. 4, 2015.
Requests for articles will continue to be ordered by the Interlibrary Loan Dept. through the library’s last full day on Wednesday, Dec. 16. However, if your requested article does not arrive by closing on Dec. 18, it will not be available on your ILLiad account until Jan. 4, 2015.
Also, while we will do our best to get everything sorted out quickly on January 4th, there may be a backlog for a day or two. Thanks in advance for your patience!
