If you are editing a paper and need to cite sources, you may want to use bibliographic management software. That is a type of software use for chiefly for 2 reasons: 1. to create a collection of bibliographic citations and 2. to produce bibliographies.
You may have used a web app to generate citations. At Colorado College you have access to RefWorks.
- It is web-based, browser-accessed, and centrally hosted program.
- Many research databases can export references directly to RefWorks.
- A tool called Write-N-Cite enables users to insert references from their RefWorks account into documents which can then be formatted to produce in-text, footnotes or endnotes and bibliographies or works cited in various styles.
